Privacy
What this website does and does not do with your information. Plainly, and accurately.
This is a static website
kaldos.cafe is a static website. There are no user accounts and no login. There is no form on this site that sends us your details, and there is no database behind it holding anything about you.
The Kaltoran Passport stays on your device
The Kaltoran Passport runs entirely in your browser. Your passport — your name, your stamps, whatever you entered — is saved in your browser's localStorage, on your own device. It is never transmitted to us or anyone else. There is no server to receive it, no database to store it, and nobody to send it to.
One consequence, which is worth understanding before you get attached to your stamps:
- If you clear your browser data, or use private browsing, your passport is gone.
- If you use “Renounce citizenship” in the app, your passport is erased immediately and permanently.
- If you open the site on a different device or a different browser, your passport will not be there — it never left the first one.
In every one of those cases the data cannot be recovered — not by you, and not by us. We do not have a copy. That is the point of doing it this way.
Hosting and fonts
The site is hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify processes standard server request logs when your browser asks for a page — typically your IP address, your user agent (browser and device) and the page requested. That is a normal part of serving a website and is handled under Netlify's own privacy terms.
The site loads web fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers to fetch them, subject to Google's privacy terms.
We do not run analytics, and we do not set advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
You control everything this site keeps, because everything it keeps is on your own machine. To delete your passport, renounce citizenship in the app or clear site data in your browser settings. If you block Google Fonts, the site is built to stay readable without them.

Privacy enquiries go where everything else at Kaldo's goes: 0439 999 409. Contact is by phone. If any of this changes, we will change this page — and we will not add anything here that is not actually happening.
The Ministry of Records in Valora keeps immaculate files on every citizen, in a building that does not exist in this universe. We have found that arrangement extremely convenient.
