Terms of use

The rules of this website, written to be understood rather than survived.

Information is given in good faith, and may change

Kaldo's is not open yet. Everything published here — opening hours, the address, what we intend to serve — is provided in good faith and to the best of our knowledge at the time of writing. Some of it will change before we open, and some of it may change after.

In particular: hours may be adjusted, the food menu is not final, and no prices are published anywhere on this site — prices are confirmed at the counter. If you are making a trip specially, call 0439 999 409 first. A phone call is more current than a web page, always.

The site is provided as-is. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or free of error, and we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on information here that has since changed. Where the law gives you rights that cannot be excluded — including under the Australian Consumer Law — nothing here limits them.

The Kaltoran Passport

The Kaltoran Passport is a free novelty and loyalty scheme. It is not a travel document, not a legal identity document, and not a financial product.

  • It has no cash value and cannot be exchanged, redeemed for money, sold or transferred.
  • Stamps and rewards are offered at our discretion. We may change, suspend, reset or end the scheme, and if we do, existing stamps may be reset.
  • There is no guarantee of expiry or of non-expiry. We will be reasonable about it; we are not promising to be permanent about it.
  • It lives in your browser on your own device and can be lost if you clear your browser data — see privacy.

It has never been refused to anyone. That is a policy, not a warranty.

Kaltora is a work of fiction

The Free Nation of Kaltora — its King, ministries, decrees, currency and border officer — is a work of fiction, created for and by Kaldo's. Nothing on this site, including the national lore and any royal warrant or decree named on it, constitutes a real government, a real legal authority, a real citizenship, or a real claim about the world. Kaltora does not officially exist in this universe, and nothing said in its voice should be relied on as a statement of fact about this one.

Content and branding

The words, artwork, branding, characters and world on this site belong to Kaldo's. Quote us, link to us, share us — please do. Do not reproduce the material commercially or pass it off as your own without permission. Third-party names mentioned as landmarks belong to their respective owners.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and the courts of Western Australia have jurisdiction.

Kaltoran law would resolve all of the above with a single game of chess, but we are told that is not enforceable here.
